Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 24, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Stoneworks Games (“we”, “us”, “our”) collects, uses and protects personal data when you visit playbruzr.com and when you play Bruzr and use its online services. We are committed to handling your data lawfully and transparently under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
1. Who we are
Data controller: Stoneworks Games — [LEGAL ENTITY / FORM], [REGISTERED ADDRESS], France. For any privacy-related request, contact us at privacy@playbruzr.com.
2. Scope
This policy covers the marketing website (playbruzr.com), the Bruzr game client, and its online multiplayer features (co-op, matchmaking, friends & invites, and voice chat). Third-party platforms and stores (Epic Games, Steam, console networks) have their own privacy policies that also apply to your use of their services.
3. Information we collect
From your platform account
When you sign in to play online through a platform (Epic Games, Steam, or a console network), we receive a platform user identifier, your display name/nickname, and — only if you grant permission — your friends list, online presence/status, and country. We never receive your platform password.
Online play & networking
To set up co-op sessions we process your IP address and network information (used to establish peer-to-peer connections and matchmaking), lobby/session data, and basic connection-quality metrics.
Voice chat
If you use in-game voice chat, your audio is transmitted in real time to the other players in your session. We do not record or store voice audio by default. You can disable voice chat in the game settings.
Gameplay & technical data
Progression, in-game settings, crash and diagnostic logs, and aggregate analytics such as concurrent-player counts and session length, used to operate and improve the game.
Website data
Our website is statically hosted and does not use advertising or tracking cookies. Our hosting provider may keep standard server logs (including IP addresses) for security and operational purposes.
Communications
If you email support or sign up for updates, we process the contact details and content you provide.
4. How we use your data
- Provide and operate the game and its online co-op features.
- Enable matchmaking, lobbies, friends, invites and voice chat.
- Maintain security, prevent cheating, fraud and abuse.
- Analyse aggregate usage to fix bugs and improve the game.
- Respond to your support requests and send updates you ask for.
- Comply with our legal obligations.
5. Legal bases (GDPR)
We rely on: performance of a contract (providing the game and online services); our legitimate interests (security, anti-cheat, analytics and improvement); your consent (e.g. enabling friends/presence or voice chat, and optional communications); and compliance with legal obligations.
6. Sharing & service providers
We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with providers that help us run the game and website, including:
- Epic Games, Inc. — Epic Online Services (online identity, friends/presence, lobbies & sessions, peer-to-peer relay, voice and metrics). See the Epic Games privacy policy.
- Valve Corporation (Steam) — distribution and wishlisting, where you use Steam.
- Console platform holders (e.g. Sony, Microsoft, Nintendo) — where you play on a console network.
- Our website host (Vercel) — to serve playbruzr.com.
7. International transfers
Some providers are located outside the European Economic Area (e.g. the United States). Where data is transferred internationally, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses or an adequacy decision.
8. Data retention
We keep personal data only as long as necessary for the purposes above, then delete or anonymise it. Online identifiers and gameplay data are retained while your account is active and for a reasonable period afterwards; security logs are kept for a limited period.
9. Your rights
Under the GDPR you may request access to, rectification or erasure of your data, restriction of or objection to processing, and data portability, and you may withdraw consent at any time. To exercise these rights, contact privacy@playbruzr.com. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your supervisory authority — in France, the CNIL.
10. Children
Bruzr is not directed to children under the minimum age required to hold a platform account in your country (e.g. 13, or higher where local law requires). We do not knowingly collect data from children below that age.
11. Security
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your data. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to safeguard your information against unauthorised access, loss or misuse.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We will revise the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, notify you of significant changes.
